About Us

Five women. One fjord. Forty years.

Lapua Boutique is not a brand. It's a kitchen table that eventually became a workshop.

In 1984, we — Ragnhild, Astrid, Ingeborg, Solveig, and Liv — began making jewelry. Not to build a business, but because we needed something to keep our hands busy and fill our souls.

We live on the Lapua, in western Finland, where the light never completely disappears in summer, and the winter is so still that you can hear the water.

Our stones come from here. The fjord glass shimmers blue-green—just like the water outside the window. The moonstones capture the Northern Lights we've known for decades. The crystals come from the mountains we've seen since childhood.

Each piece is made by hand. Without machines. Without templates. Only with the knowledge we have passed on to each other for over forty years.

We never sold online. We had no webshop, no Instagram page, no advertisements. Our customers came to us—sometimes from far away—and sat at our table, drank coffee, and chose a piece.

That will soon no longer be possible.

In the spring of 2025, Ragnhild's daughter, Astrid, posted a photo of her mother at the workbench, her hands over an unfinished moonstone pendant. Three sentences accompanied it. And suddenly, 380,000 people wanted this piece of jewelry.

We were overwhelmed. And moved.

That's why we've decided to offer our final collection online—before we close. Everything we still have. Every piece unique. Every piece with a story older than the internet.

Once this last warehouse is sold out, there will be no second one.
